The author attempts to achieve two goals in this book: to complement his previous works on Ukrainian immigration and to provide an overview of the Ukrainian Canadian experience and achievements during its hundred-year presence in Canada.  As in his other works, Ewanchuk concentrates on the economic hardships and the determination of Ukrainian immigrants and their children to overcome all obstacles and to succeed in a land of different language, religions and mores. This book focuses on the positives of the Ukrainian experience in Canada and on the vertical growth of the Ukrainian Canadian community.
