This book is one of 500 copies of a limited, hard cover first edition. Clean, tight, unmarked; very minimal wear; Published here is a collection of the photography of James Donahue. Best known as a musician and song writer, Jim took these B&W photos of Winnipeg in the early '70s. Jim's photography give us an intimate view of Winnipeg as the city and people met a new era of promise and change. Taken between the years 1970-72, these photographs of a small Canadian city experiencing tumultuous growth tell us what is universal about those particular times and that specific place. Despite the clash of styles and values between a generation that wore fedoras and another that wore their hair long, the human condition in all its marvelous diversity still remains and Jim presents Winnipeg as a microcosm of that human spectrum.
