Clean, tight, unmarked; very minimal wear; For seven years Joyce Putnam and her husband Putty opened their home in Grenville, QC to A.Y. Jackson, Edwin Holgate, and other members of the Group of Seven circle of artists. In this book she reflects on the time they shared together, their adventures and misadventures. From the moment A.Y. Jackson arrived at her farmhouse unannounced one night in 1963, through the heartbreak of having many of their paintings stolen, until A.Y. Jackson's death in 1974, Putnam corresponded and visited with Group members. This book gives an often humourous, sometimes poignant glimpse into the lives of Canada's best-known artists. Featuring colour reproductions of paintings never exhibited in public, photographs, sketches, and letters.
