Uncovering Early Aboriginal History in Southern Manitoba - Pettipas, Leo
Uncovering Early Aboriginal History in Southern Manitoba - Pettipas, Leo
Clean, tight, unmarked; absolute minimal wear; appears unread; Although archaeology is the primary technique, this is, first and foremost, a history book. As such it is intended, among other things, to tell a story about what happened at a certain locale on the Prairie landscape at certain times in the past. Simply put, we want to know when and how small groups of people who occupied a place within southwestern Manitoba just after the last Ice Age made a living both at the locality and within a larger geographical setting of which it was a part. We also want to know where the people came from, and why they chose that spot to live in when they did. Using modern scientific techniques, combined with traditional Aboriginal knowledge, this is their story. This archaeological impact assessment was conducted on behalf of Enbridge Pipelines Inc.
