Clean, tight, unmarked; very light wear to inside edges; otherwise absolute minimal wear; appears unread; Koop's series of acrylic paintings on canvas, represents a kind of summation, a conclusion that is also an introduction, a circular journey that loops between the known and the unknown. This work is a kind of self-reflexive accounting, an examination of what occurs at the intersection of experience and creative endeavour. It's as if she had intuitively organized a mid-career retrospective in the gallery of her mind, reviewing, reassessing and re-investigating landscape images that have advanced and retreated through four decades of her artmaking.
